Selfie with daughter – Selfie kheecho, Beti Bachao is the latest initiative taken by JIND village panchayat to promote awareness about Beti Bachao Beti Padhao campaign as well as the importance of girl child in our country.

Haryana is the worst hit state when we talk about boy vs girl ratio. But after the launch of BBBP campiagn and many other schemes like Sukanya Samriddhi Scheme, the picture has changed recently.

In a latest article we have shared that the sex ratio has improved up to 900/1000 so far, which is a good sign for our society and also a good parameter for Govt to judge how their schemes are performing in ground level.

This is a contest launched by a village in Haryana. Under this contest parents from any part of Haryana have to take pictures with their daughters and then send that to their village Sarpanch via through social messaging app Whats-app.

After collecting all the pictures, best three picture will be awarded with trophies, certificates and cash prize.

To judge this event, a delegation of 30 women sarpanchs and aanganwadi workers have been appointed, who will be visiting the village from Punjab on June 19.

Clicking selfie is the latest trend in social media and that’s why this will encourage more people to take part in this Selfie with daughter contest. And the interesting part is that many parents are participating in this contest, which is really a great move to make this Beti Bachao Beti Padhao campaign success.
